Celebrating Our Declaration of Independence: A Public Reading & the Planting of the Tree of Liberty In-Person
The Revolution 250 Celebration continues in Longmeadow with the planting of the “Tree of Liberty” and a shared, public reading of the Declaration of Independence. After the July 4, 1776 Declaration of Independence, all Massachusetts towns held public readings of the document. We celebrate that reading with a shared reading by Longmeadow youth.
Longmeadow’s Town Meeting supports this event, and all are welcome to renew our commitment to democracy and freedom.
This program helps Longmeadow Celebrate the 250th Anniversary of the American Revolution.
