LHS Presents: Emily Dickinson's Springfield w/Melissa Cybulski In-Person

Long known as a poet who stayed close to home in Amherst, MA, Emily Dickinson actually had deep connections in Springfield as well. She was first published in The Springfield Republican, was a favorite friend of Samuel Bowles, and passed through Union Station to visit J.G. Holland and family in their Springfield home.

Melissa M. Cybulski is a local historian, longtime guide at the Emily Dickinson Museum, and vice-president of the Longmeadow Historical Society. Her book, Appleseeds: A Boy Named Johnny Chapman was published in 2024.

This program is sponsored by the Longmeadow Historical Society and the Friends of Storrs Library.
