Lisa Ruch Presents Time Travel: A Six-Part Series In-Person
Lisa Ruch, Ph.D. will be joining us at the library from January to June to present Time Travel: A Six-Part Series!
The concept of time travel has a long history, but became popularized in literature in the late 19th century and still persists today. This series will look at some foundational and influential novels that employ time travel narratives, along with some once popular but now lesser-known examples. Come explore!
This month we will discuss: The House on the Strand by Daphne Du Maurier.
Summary: Dick Young is lent a house in Cornwall by his friend Professor Magnus Lane where he agrees to serve as guinea pig for a new drug Magnus has discovered in his biochemical research, the effect of which is to transport Dick to the 14th century.
You may pick up your copy of this month's book at the library.
